Wordpress: Google XML Sitemap Plugin
I wanted to share this with any other wordpress users a plugin that I found to be very helpful in getting indexed with Google an a short period of time.
The name of the plugin is Google XML Sitemaps.
As the name denotes, it creates an XML Sitemap that can then be submitted to Google via the Google Webmaster Tools.
What I do:
After I make a post, I open up the control panel for the plugin and click the ‘Rebuild the Sitemap’ link. Then I login to my google webmasters account and resubmit my sitemap. I normally do this once, maybe twice a day.
The quickest I have seen my posts show up in google’s index was around 2 hours after posting. I’m hearing from some of you that this isn’t very good / the best that you have seen. With that being said, I myself noticed an improvement, so I can only imagine others may as well.
