Facebook needs proper editing for comments and status updates. I’ve started this group as a partition for facebook to add this much needed option. Join and spread the word…

The more people who want this option, the more likely it is to be implemented

That’s great but it only removes the post, I wish I can edit the text/some words. Facebook should provide it.

AFAIK you cannot edit status posts.
You can delete and repost though.
FB should implement that change.

I had never considered preserving comments on a typoed post. In my mind, an error would be caught seconds after it was posted, and then rectified immediately. This is not always the case, of course.

I will look back into this and post again if I find a way to fix a typo while preserving existing comments.
