Backyard Monsters Strategy | Backyard Monsters Tips and Tricks

Backyard Monsters Tip #1

One of the first things you may notice when playing Backyard Monsters is that your competition (other players) can be a much higher level than you. Because of this, my Backyard Monsters strategy states that you level up your Backyard Monsters yard as quickly as possible. To do this, it’s important to know exactly what contributes to leveling up. In game, it states “Build, upgrade, complete quests, attack, defend well… pretty much everything you do gives you more points!” This is really good for us. Literally everything we do will help us toward our goal. The only problem with this is that our Backyard Monsters competitors have this ‘advantage’ as well. So the question becomes, how do we get ahead? Well, the one thing we can focus on is doing these things more often. Build, upgrade, and attack more often. But what do we build? That’s the trick. Building a structure is fine, and it does help, but building or upgrading a Backyard Monsters harvester is the best course of action. You see, whenever you collect resources form your harvesters you get experience. This means that the more resources we produce the more experience we earn. Focusing on building and upgrading your harvesters early and often will not only give you more experience, but you will also get more resources with which to build / upgrade.

Tip #1: Upgrade and Build your Backyard Monsters Harvesters Early

The caveat to Tip #1 is that without the proper defenses your base, and all its harvesters, are extremely vulnerable. So a good balance must be reached between harvester building / upgrading, and defense structure building / upgrading.

Backyard Monsters Tip #2

This may seem like a given, but you should harvest your resources often. In Backyard Monsters, at the lower levels your harvesters can only hold so many resources before they are full. When your harvesters are full they can no longer create more resources until they are harvested. For this reason, a good upgrading strategy is to try to keep them all at the level. I like to set a reminder on my cellphone for about 20 minutes before my Backyard Monsters resources need to be harvested. This gives me enough time to login to my account and get this task taken care of so there is rarely any downtime. Obviously this is not always possible, but doing your best can go a long way.

Cheats for Backyard Monsters | Backyard Monsters Strategy

I’ve been playing Backyard Monsters on Facebook for several months now and I’ve just reached level 38. Although I have a lot left to learn, I have a few Backyard Monsters Tips and some cheats for backyard monsters to share with my readers.

Keep users from Attacking you | Cheats for Backyard Monsters

Prior to upgrading my maproom to level 2, I hadn’t been attacked much. My home base is pretty beefy and not an easy target. But since I upgraded the maproom, I’ve taken on other ‘outposts’ to help increase my income and resource storage. These outposts are more vulnerable as I usually use the mid-level kit to start my base out. This comes with very little air defense which makes it a fairly easy target. To make matters worse, on outposts you only have 1 helper to build with. Because of this, I focus on upgrading my defenses first, but there is not always enough time to upgrade an outpost to where it can fend for itself before other users attack. Well, I’ve found a way to keep enemies from attacking.

One of the things I noticed about Backyard Monsters is that my bases only get attacked by other users when I’m not online or playing the game. Don’t forget, however, that Wold Monsters can attack at any time. I also realized that it appears as if the base that you’re currently visiting is safe from user attack. Being as I was plagued by one user attacking one of my outposts regularly, I realized it would be a huge benefit if I could keep him from attacking without having to spend the shiny on protection. So I wrote a small AutoIt script that simply moves the screen around a bit within the game every so often, and harvests my resources for me. If you’re not familiar with AutoIt, it is a simple little program that allows you to automate mouse clicks and other operations. You can read more about it / download it here: http://www.autoitscript.com/site/autoit/. The script I’ve written is very simple, but it seems to do the trick.

Cheats for Backyard Monsters | Script Download

All you need to do is download the cheats for backyard monsters script from HERE. I’ve compiled the script into an executable so hopefully you will not have to install the AutoIt software to use it, though, I haven’t tested this yet. Perform your virus / malware checks on the file to make sure it isn’t infected. Next, to use the cheats for backyard monsters, run the executable, and then go to the base in Backyard Monsters that you want to keep safe while you’re away from your computer and position your mouse cursor over the top of a harvester. Then, press the number ’1′ on the number row above the keys, not on the keypad. You should then see a little message informing you that the script is running and of the next step. As the message describes, move your mouse cursor between the Full-Screen button and the Sound button and leave the mouse there. After a few seconds have passed, the script will begin running. To pause the script, simply press the ‘Pause’ button on your keyboard. To terminate the script, press the ‘Escape’ key.

As mentioned, the cheats for backyard monsters script is very simple. All it does is get the current mouse position (which is why you have to position your mouse over a harvester before you start the script), drag the window 1 pixel to the left, and 1 pixel down (this is to keep the window active, so that the game doesn’t think you’ve left, and then it waits 15 seconds and reverses the window drag so that it’s back where it started. It then waits another 15 seconds and then clicks on the harvester and then it clicks the harvest all button. After a few seconds more of a delay, it starts the process all over again. It’s worked for me without issue several nights in a row now. Sometimes there are random popups in game that can cause problems, but I just try to check it every so often and start it back up if there was an issue.

Another technique that may work well for outposts that are being attacked often when you’re losing resources is to just not repair the damage. Wait a few days and may be the aggressor will move on to a new target. After that, try repairing your outpost and upgrading as quickly as possible. Stay tuned for more cheats for backyard monsters.
