Beginning Your Quest.

Setup Heroes:
Alright, so you’ve decided to join the world of Heroes. Good call. Now, what do you do? Well, first things first, you have to have a myspace account. Already have one? That was easy. Don’t? Visit Myspace and sign up for one. Secondly, you have to install the app. You can find a link to the app on the left side of this blog.
Name the Guild:
Ok, now you’re to the point where it asks you to name your guild. This step is a little different from most games. The guild name actually acts as your heroes name. Actually, it kinda acts as both.. guild name and heroes name. A little confusing, but just pick a good name and continue.
Select a Class:
Next it should ask you to select a class. There are three character classes in the game to choose from. The only published difference is as follows:

  • Rogue: gains income from their Kingdom 10% faster.
  • Paladin: regains their health 10% faster.
  • Mage: regains their mana 10% faster.

Only knowing this information, however, doesn’t allow you to make an educated decision. What you need to know is for what each trait is used. Health is very simple, it’s the amount of health you have. In my short time playing the game, it appears you cannot do battle with other guilds unless you have at least 23 health. This may be dependent on your current maximum health, however I’m still testing this. So, choosing a Paladin would allow you to fight more often, but if you can fight more often, then you can be fought more often, and as such, can have some of your money taken when you lose. Mana is used to go on quests. Quests, at least in the beginning, will probably be your main way of earning money and experience to level up. As you can imagine, being a Mage might sound like a great idea, you regen mana more quickly, meaning you can go on quests more rapidly.. earning more money and experience more quickly. The Rogue earns Income (money) from their investments into their Kingdom more quickly. This is probably, in my estimation, more useful towards the end of the game. I chose a rogue because I want to be RICH! It appears that it reduces the amount of time before you earn the payouts from your kingdom from 60 minutes to 55 minutes. I’m no math wiz, but this doesn’t seem like a 10% decrease in time.
