Yahoo Answers: Posting Image on Craigslist
Question:
How to send pix from microsift office word to craigslist? Copying and pasting does’t work.?
Hi. Do I have to do something in between first? Does anyone know simple step by step instructions for a person that’s not that computer savvy? Thank you.
My Answer:
If the image is inline in the word document, meaning it’s not set as a watermark or something, you should be able to drag it from the word document onto your desktop. This will save the image to your desktop allowing you to use the file as its own entity, as opposed to part of the word document.
There are two methods for displaying an image on craigslist, one requires a hosting account or access to a storage server. An account with a site like photobucket would also allow you to do this. You would upload the image to the webspace and then reference it in the craigslist ad using the html image tag.
That being said, I would recommend the following:
On the craigslist ad screen, where you type in your ad, you will see a button that says [add/edit images]. Clicking this button will display 4 image upload boxes. Click the upper left most browse button and then a file upload window will display. You then need to locate the image using this file upload window. If you copied it out of the word document onto your desktop, that is where you will find it. Either double click it or select it by clicking it once and then click the open button.
Depending on the size of the image, it may take a few seconds to upload the picture.. then you’re done.
I hope this helps.
