Well, you may have noticed that this website was down for a while.. about a week to be exact. There was a trademark issue with one of my other domain names that is hosted on the same account. Because of this, GoDaddy decided to suspend my entire hosting account. Understandable, really, however, they charged me $19 to do it. Also, it took them about a week to let me in on a simple resolution that would get my other websites (including this one) back online in a matter of hours.

I will be outlining what happened, along with the simple resolution in a post a little later on. It’s my hope to help anyone else who experiences this same issue.

On an unrelated note, have you heard the expression “absence makes the heart grow fonder?” Well, I’ve been away from this blog for a while but only realized exactly how much I’ve missed it since I wasn’t able to get to it for awhile. Now I’m back, and planning on things to write about. Although I will be covering several different topics, keep checking back from time to time. You may not be interested in all of my posts, but i’d love it if you stuck with me for the ones you do enjoy.

That’s right, I’m the male half of themodernhippy.com. My wife runs her blog off of the main domain, while I, the lowly husband, keep myself entertained over here on the sub domain male.themodernhippy.com. As a man greater than myself once said, “If you have to live in someone’s shadow, make sure that person is great, and noble.” Yes, I just made that up, making me ‘greater than myself’ and identifying that my wife is a ‘great and noble person.’ And subsequently scoring me mad points when she reads this later no doubt.

This site and all of its contents are dedicated to her. She is my inspiration and reason for being. A true modern hippy. After watching her type away day-after-day, I realized it must be a great outlet for her.

Hence the reason you are here reading this. I decided to start up my own site and follow in her footsteps. Using a sub domain of her domain, themodernhippy.com seemed appropriate. So take a look around and enjoy my rantings and ravings. You shan’t be disappointed.
